SOCIAL MEDIA GUIDELINES

SOCIAL MEDIA GUIDELINES Social Media has become an integral part of our everyday life. Platforms like Facebook, YouTube and Twitter offer us the opportunity to exchange opinions, thoughts and experiences with other users, friends, colleagues and customers – and all this on a global scale. Every day, our company is the subject of intense discussions on the Internet. Anyone who expresses an opinion or makes a comment about Deutsche Post DHL online helps shape the public image of the company. If you also want to share information and views about Deutsche Post DHL in blogs, forums and social networks, we ask you to follow these important guidelines:

1 Follow our company values. Respect, tolerance, honesty and sincerity, as well as treating colleagues and clients with integrity, are guidelines laid down in our Code of Conduct and naturally also apply online.

2 Speak only for yourself. Even online, only authorized personnel may publish official statements, announcements and publications.

3 Be authentic and transparent. If you comment on Deutsche Post DHL, then openly state your affiliation with the company. Be sure to write in the first person and, in doing so, make it clear that what is being said is your personal opinion and not that of the company.

4 Safeguard confidential information. Of particular importance: Internal matters must remain internal. Protect all confidential information and business secrets of our company as well as those of our associates and suppliers.

5 Protect your privacy and that of your children. Anything you disclose online is often visible to everyone. Even when you correct or remove information, an online trail is left behind. So be vigilant about what you reveal. 6 Act responsibly. You are responsible for what you disclose. If in doubt, ask yourself if you would share the content directly with a work colleague, superior or associate. 7

Respect existing laws. Existing laws apply online too. Upholding copyright is strictly monitored. Therefore, only publish content, images and videos that originate from you and respect the rights of other users. 8 Treat others with respect. Pay attention to your wording, act respectfully and remain polite and objective. Be careful with humor, irony and sarcasm. Without facial expressions and gestures, your intentions are harder to grasp. 9 Support us. Have fun using our Social Media presences and take advantage of the opportunity to participate in discussions. If you need any help or tips, or if you come across praise, criticism or funny content about our brand and services, then please don’t hesitate to contact us at: [email protected] or [email protected]. 10 Make use of internal platforms. Social Media activities are being made possible on our internal platforms on an increasing basis. Use the Corporate Intranet and Yammer, for instance, for discussions with colleagues or other internal purposes.

We are always ready to assist if you have questions, for instance about the items described above. Just send us a message to [email protected] or [email protected] ou Y can find more information on Social Media as well as a detailed explanation accompanying these guidelines at: http://quicklink.intra.dpwn.net/socialmedia
