Jun 10, 2015 - Despite low levels of funding, clusters have responded to the most critical needs in 2015. More resources
Somalia: Humanitarian Snapshot Somalia’s humanitarian crisis remains fragile. A total of 3 million people need humanitarian assistance including 731,000 in emergency and crisis. This continues to be compounded by floods, forced evictions of internally displaced people, and the people fleeing conflict in Yemen. However, almost halfway through 2015, only 26 per cent of funding against the Humanitarian Response Plan for 2015 has been covered. This is affecting the capacity of humanitarian partners to respond to these increasing needs. Funding is urgently needed especially for health, WASH, shelter and protection clusters to sustain response.

(as of 2 June 2015) (as of 10 June 2015)

Humanitarian response Despite low levels of funding, clusters have responded to the most critical needs in 2015. More resources are needed to ensure progress made is not reversed. For example, water, sanitation and hygiene partners will be unable to provide services to at least 135,000 people affected by evictions, acute watery diarrhea, flash floods and the people fleeing conflict in Yemen.
