Sophia So Sophia, Lok Yee SO, raised her concern on the labour conditions of the Disney products in 2005 and later she joined SACOM for over a decade. As the current Vice-chairperson in SACOM and also a teacher in the University of Hong Kong, she actively involved in organizing campaigns with students and academics concerning the labour condition of various electronics brands including Apple, HTC, Dell and HP and garment brands including Uniqlo, H & M, and Abercrombie & Fitch.

SACOM Students and Scholars Against Corporate Misbehavior (SACOM) is a nonprofit organization founded in Hong Kong since June 2005. SACOM aims at bringing concerned students, scholars, labor activists, and consumers together to monitor corporate behavior and to advocate for workers’ rights and empowerment. In the last decade, SACOM launched various campaigns and researches targeting electronic, toys and garment industries and successfully urged the brands to improve working conditions, release their full supplier lists, and conduct substantial training to empower workers at their workplace. SACOM believes that the most effective means of monitoring is to collaborate closely with workers and ultimately workers can form and elect their trade unions which can truly represent themselves. Recent targeted brands included Apple, Dell, HP, Disney, Uniqlo, H & M, Zara and etc.
