It was a pleasure and a challenge to initiate and organize the “Spirit of Art” International Contemporary Art Exhibition. The exhibition is organized to tighten the cultural dialog between visual art artists from 13 countries: Norway, Israel, Canada, Germany, Switzerland, Australia, France, Italy, U.S.A, Cyprus, Netherlands, Bulgaria and Great Britain. The “Spirit of Art” presents eighty one of the finest works (sixty paintings and twenty one sculptures) of 41 well known artists.

Through their works, each artist shares with his fellow artists and the spectators their personal reflections and interpretation of the spirit and culture influences of his country and heritage, creating a unique and multi-culture artistic structure with a feast of colors, shapes, styles and techniques merging into a vibrant artistic kaleidoscope. Gathering artists and art works from different and diversified countries, origins and artistic spheres in the cultural center of London will provide art lovers, art dealers, curators, artists, and art collectors a multicultural “corridor”, interacting and communicating with the different artists, colors, art facts and images.
The artworks showcased in the exhibition are created in a variety of techniques and materials from oil, acrylic. mixed media, collages to bronze sculptures. The artworks of these artists are in private collections and museums around the world. One can only admire the richness of the collection. This exhibition represents a typical and modern visual art approach. Visual art is universal and this show is an excellent example of how art can act as an international language, bringing together different nationalities to share a common vision of promoting and recognizing art. Art is a universal language that connects people from all over the world. Circles of art do not end in one country, they overlap and cover the world. I hope that this event will have an echo and will be the beginning of new friendships, of new links between different cultures, different people, and different artists. The show with its rich mix of forms, colours and styles emphasises how visual art from different cultures can come together and communicate a common theme even when the artists interpret the subject from a different perspective, ethnic background and age group. In the selection of the works, Mrs. Bercovici has fused the individual expression technique and style of each artist together in a short but truly international art collaboration project. The “Spirit of Art” exhibition offers a unique opportunity for the British public to interact with the artists and view original works from 13 different countries.
