Riding on the success of the past three years, combining hundreds of riders and thousands of spectators, Doncaster Cycle Festival has firmly established itself as a key event in Doncaster’s calendar. Attracting riders of all ages and levels, from first time novice riders to the professional elites such as Triple Olympic gold medallist Ed Clancy MBE who challenged themselves against the 1 kilometre town centre circuit to become festival champions. The festival square provides spectators with plenty of space to soak up the atmosphere whilst immersed in surrounding activities, stalls, and exhibitions. Not only did Doncaster Cycle Festival establish itself as a key event in the national cycling, and also in Doncaster’s event calendar, but it has also allowed the growth and development of grass roots and community participation. A lasting legacy has been developed in the form of a junior club for Doncaster, attracting riders aged 5-15, and nurturing and developing talent. Riders then get the opportunity to participate in Doncaster Cycle Festival and other big races locally. Planning is already well underway to build upon the success of the previous three events, and to deliver a truly memorable and even bigger Doncaster Cycle Festival on 11 June 2017. We have created a number of sponsorship packages giving you the option to be part of Doncaster Cycle Festival 2017, and providing excellent opportunities to promote both your company/products, and raise awareness in supporting this great community event.
