Real Estate Principles Get an overview of becoming a licensed real estate broker and salesperson. Topics include ethics of practice as a license holder, titles to and conveyance of real estate, legal descriptions, deeds, encumbrances and liens, distinctions between personal and real property, appraisal, finance and regulations, closing procedures and real estate mathematics. Three hours of instruction on federal, state and local laws relating to housing, discrimination, housing credit discrimination and community real estate principles reinvestment are covered. This course meets the Texas Real Estate Licensing Act (TRELA) requirement for a core course on real estate principles and fulfills the 60hour requirement for a salesperson license. PROJECT MANAGEMENT PMP® Exam Boot Camp To earn your PMP® credential, you must meet the experience and education requirements plus pass the PMP® examination - a 200-question, multiple-choice test. Regardless of how advanced your project management experience or education might be, you should still prepare vigorously for the exam. Child Development Associate (CDA) Training I The Council for Early Childhood Professional Recognition operates the CDA credentialing program as a major national effort to improve the quality of child care. Focusing on childcare provider skills, the program is designed to provide performancebased training plus assessment and credentialing of child care staff, family child care providers and home visitors. Training I, II and III may be taken in any order. Any of these classes can be used to complete the resource file requirement. In Training I, students identify methods to advance physical and intellectual competence, apply their knowledge of the young child’s creative, cognitive, physical and language development areas of study describe the CDA process, develop general observation skills and summarize basic child growth and development. Students will also utilize skills in writing, speaking, teamwork, time management and problem solving. Massage therapy is a healthcare profession regulated by the Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS). Central Texas College Continuing Education’s 600hour certificate of completion program exceeds state requirements and includes 550 hours of classroom training followed by a 50-hour internship. The program prepares the graduate to sit for the State of Texas licensure examination through the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards’ Massage and Bodywork Licensing Exam (MBLEx ). Get an in-depth study of phlebotomy and related skills required to become a phlebotomist. Tribal Bellydance Tribal belly dance is a fun improvisational group dance. Dancers learn movement vocabulary and cues that allow them to dance in unison in a “Simon says” fashion. Urban Line Dancing Many people think of country music and cowboys when they think of line dancing, but this style of dance has many variations and works wells with many styles of music. Line dancing or step dancing is a group of people all performing the same ‘steps’ in parallel lines. Basic Photography This class will equip you with the skills necessary to get the most out of your DSLR camera so you’re not just using the “auto” shooting mode, but creating photos you desire. Learn how to care for and use your DSLR/ interchangeable lens camera plus learn the basics of camera operations through hands-on instruction. Gain a working knowledge of aperture, shutter speed, manual shooting modes and learn how to combine them with ISO to create exciting photos! WOODWORKING Adirondack Chair Making This is a hands-on, step-by-step woodworking course. CRAFTS Have a card on hand for every occasion! Participants will cut, fold and embellish birthday, get-well, sympathy, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day cards. Extra techniques include specialty folds, adding embossed images to your projects, using die cutting machine, stamping, layering stamped images and more. Students will put together cards they can take home and use, as well as ideas to use over and over again. Bring adhesive, a bone folder and scissors. A project packet with instructions will be provided for $10, paid to the instructor on the first day of the class. Laura Skarpa is an avid scrapbooker and card maker who has been enjoying and sharing her craft for more than 10 years. (1 meeting)

ART Oil Painting Oil paints, with good reason, have been many artists’ first choice for hundreds of years. The colors are gorgeous, you can do anything with them and they last forever. Even better, oil paint is slow drying so you can remove what you don’t like while it’s wet or paint over it when it’s dry. Students will explore basic tools and techniques including how to prepare a canvas, mixing colors and mastering brush work. ALL levels are welcome. Water aerobics is a fun workout with easy-to-follow exercise routines to improve cardiovascular conditioning. Using the resistance of the water, this class is a total body workout including aerobics, toning and stretching. It can also improve your strength and flexibility leading to better muscular endurance and balance. CTC maintains pool water at approximately 80 degrees. Bring a towel and wear swimsuits and aqua socks (shoes for water). Judith Mills is a certified water aerobics instructor. (6 or 12 meetings)

Viniyoga is an ancient approach to yoga using repetition in postures and breath to help heal and balance the body and spine. Students will be introduced to this approach, which has sequencing that prevents injury and many available modifications and adaptations to fit various physical needs. Students will learn about the biomechanics of the breath and the movement of the spine. There will be lecture, demonstration and practice. Make sure your kids know how to swim! Children (age 5-12) will learn arm and leg movements, floating and fully submerging their faces in water. The five and older group focuses on elementary water skills with assistance, water entry and exit, breath control, submerging, buoyancy on front and back, treading water and swimming on front and back. Students in both classes will also learn water safety practices in or around water. Children five and under must be accompanied by parents. Students should bring a noodle, towel and wear a swimsuit.
