Spring Newsletter Open House There has been much work going on this winter at the Nature Center. My office moved, a new classroom was revamped, a library is budding and open to the public, and an exhibit room is coming to life.

Sunday, April 6 at 11 am Come out for this free Easter Egg Hunt. All ages are welcome. Please bring your own basket. Email [email protected] for more information. You may even want to pack a picnic lunch and stay for the Book Reading of Broke Leg Bear at 1 pm.

Come out and see for yourself all the improvements and changes. If you are unable to make it to one of our special upcoming events, plan to stop by our Open House on April 10th from 3-7pm.

Volunteers and Summer Camp Staff Wanted We are always looking for volunteers to help out. The trails will need repaired and trimmed this spring and summer, Blue bird boxes need repaired and cleaned. And we are looking for summer camp volunteers. If you or your group is interested please email [email protected]

Book Reading Sunday, April 6 from 1-2:30 Author and Illustrator will read this amazing true story. Have your copy signed and then learn what to do if you find injured or orphaned wildlife. Attendance is free, cost of the book is $18. A portion of the proceeds will go toward Whittemore's environmental education efforts and a portion will be donated to Woodlands Wildlife Refuge.

Parent's Night Out (Ages 4-10 $20 per child (sibling discount) 6-9pm Need a night away? Bring the kids to us for a 3 hour break. You can drop off and pick up anytime in that 3 hours. We will play nature related games, do crafts, play outside, read books, gaze at the stars, eat snacks and just have fun in this more relaxed atmosphere designed to give you some time. $8 per session 10-11am Explore nature and discover the basics during this fun and entertaining nature series just for the wee ones. We will engage the senses and expand the horizons. Attend as many sessions as you like, fee is per child. A parent or adult must accompany children on the program. Spring Falling Camp (Ages 4-10) April 21-25 from 9am-1pm for $125 We will fall into the world around us and look for things that trip animals up: poisonous plants and animals, predators, unexpected weather, and humans. Then we will see how they get back up as we explore how wildlife protect their selves and each other.

Summer Break Camps All Summer long we will keep your kids (ages 3-12) entertained and learning.
