[email protected] Website: sanaww.catholic.edu.au Dear Parents, The end of the year is fast approaching and the days appear to fly by! A very big thank you to everyone who took part in the weekend’s basketball carnival in Goulburn. The children were wonderful representatives for our school, showing great sportsmanship and competing to the best of their abilities. Thanks to parents for your commitment and to the many staff who volunteered their time to make the trip possible. On Friday afternoon I had the opportunity to spend time with the Year 5 students to talk about leadership and the qualities of a good leader, in readiness for the selection of our 2018 Student Council. I was most impressed with their understanding of this topic and their willingness to contribute to the discussion. Leading on from this, the students will be given a list of their Year 5 cohort and asked to identify 6 students who they believe would have the characteristics to be part of the Student Council in 2018. Resulting from this, 12 students will be identified. These students will make up the Student Council and from these 12, the students will vote for the School Captains and Vice Captains. This process will take place next week. Our Kinder classes were fortunate to visit the Lavington UPA last Friday. It was lovely to have the children interact with the members of the Sunshine Club and spread some Christmas cheer.
Enjoy your week, Liz.
