FirstMap is the state enterprise GIS ◦ Two websites of importance

Website with information about FirstMap including documents and tutorials Access to the FirstMap Open Data – for downloading data



ArcGIS Online with maps and applications

◦ Data published and available through FirstMap

 Web services - Can be used in ArcGIS Desktop, web mapping, ArcGIS Online, and other GIS software and applications  Open Data – Ability to download data to your system

◦ Applications published for use by public    

Citizen’s Map Roadway Information Geo-coding Service Standardized Base Maps

◦ Story Maps

 Used to educate public about a variety of initiatives (Big Trees, Trails and Pathways, Sportsmen Against Hunger, etc.)

State Parks along with DTI worked to create The Play Outside map which will help you find the right park, preserve, trail or playground so you can head out and play outside. http://maps.dnrec.delaware.gov/playoutside/

Anyone can create a FREE Public Account ◦ https://www.arcgis.com/home/signin.html



This allows you to create, save and share maps and use templates to create apps and Story Maps.

FirstMap is interested in doing more seminars for local jurisdictions ◦ 3-4 seminars being planned – at least one in each county  Looking for venues (free and large enough to accommodate expected attendance)

◦ Available to do seminars for individual jurisdictions ◦ Need your help setting the seminar dates and locations.
