Dear Sir/Madam, SUB :- “STATE SENIOR AQUATIC CHAMPIONSHIP – 2018”. 1.0 We are pleased to inform you that our Association will be conducting State Senior Aquatic Championship in Swimming, Diving and Water polo events for Men & Women from 21 st to 23rd August 2018. The Swimming & Water polo events will be held at Basavanagudi Aquatic Centre, Bangalore – 560 004 from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. and the Diving events will be held at Kensington Swimming Pool, Ulsoor, Bangalore – 560 042 from 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. on all the above dates. During the above Meet, State Senior Team will be selected for the forthcoming 72nd SENIOR NATIONAL AQUATIC CHAMPIONSHIP to be held at Trivandrum, Kerala from 19th September to 23rd September 2018 And
State Swim Ranking Meet will be conducted for Group 3 & Group 4 swimmers on 21 st and 22nd of August 2018. Senior State Details are as under: 2.0 A Copy of S.F.I. Circular is enclosed herewith for your reference regarding events and other details. 3.0. The Championship will be conducted in Swimming, Diving and Water Polo events The events will be as under for both Men & Women : SWIMMING : Free Style … 50 m, 100 m, 200 m, 400 m, 800 m. & 1,500 m. Back Stroke … 50 m, 100 m, & 200 m, Breast Stroke … 50 m, 100 m, & 200 m. Butterfly Stroke … 50 m, 100 m, & 200 m. Ind. Medley … 200 m & 400 m. Free Style Relay … 4 x 100 m. & 4 x 200 m. Med. Relay … 4 x 100 m. Water Polo :- For Men & Women Diving events :- 1 mt & 3 mt. Spring Board & High Board Diving. 3.0 ELIGIBILITY TO COMPETE IN THE STATE SENIOR AQUATIC CHAMPIONSHIP :-
All Competitors who participate in the State Meet shall be registered Swimmers for the year 2018. Only those Clubs who have renewed their affiliation for the year 2018 are permitted to send their entries. Entry Fees of Rs. 100/- for Individual events, Rs. 200/- for Relay events and Rs. 500/- per Team for Waterpolo events shall be sent along with the Entry Forms. Defaulters will not be permitted to participate in the above meet. Entry Forms shall be neatly written giving the details of the names of the Competitors, the details of the events along with their timings. 4.0. DISCIPLINE DURING THE COMPETITION :Those Competitors who infringe the FINA Rules are liable for disqualification. Referee’s decision shall be the FINAL Swimming, Diving and Waterpolo events will be held in accordance with latest FINA Rules. Swimming events will be conducted with “ONE START”.
5.0. ENTRIES :Entries must reach the Hon’ Secretary, K.S.A. along with the Entry Fees on ‘or’ before 10th August 2018. A Swimmer is permitted to enter for maximum of FIVE Individual events and Relay events. All races will be conducted only on TIME TRIALS basis. Hence, Clubs are requested to send proper timings of their Swimmers to seed them properly. NOTE: – Late entries and entries on deck will not be accepted under any circumstances. All Clubs are required to send the entries before the Last Date to enable us to draw up the Heats in advance for the smooth conduct of the Meet. Senior events will be held every 20 min, no matter which event and heat of the ranking meet will be going on. Extra time will be provided if senior swimmers request for it. 6.0
RELAY SELECTION TRIALS :- In view of the limited entries for Swimmers, separate Relay Selection Trials will be conducted along with the respective events of 100 m. FS, 200 m. FS, 100 m. BK., 100 m. BR., & 100 m. Butterfly events. Selection Trials are only for those Swimmers not taking part in the above events in the State Championship.

GUIDELINES FOR THE SELECTION OF THE STATE TEAM FOR SENIOR NATIONALS :1. Selection is based on S.F.I. Qualifying Timings. 2. For Relay Team, the Best four Swimmers in all 100 m. and 200 m. events will be selected. 3. Selection Committee’s Recommendations is FINAL in selecting the State Team.
State Ranking Meet Details are as under: 1. The ranking of swimmer will be ranked based on their timing clocked on the day of the ranking meet and will hold good for period of next 3 months from the date of ranking meet. 2. Ranking will be updated every 3 months. 3. The timing will also be considered of any state or national meet participated by the swimmer during those 3 months from the date of ranking meet. 4. First 10 rankers for every event will get goodies / Gifts. 5. Group 3 events will be held on 21 st Aug 2018. Group 4 events will be held on 22 nd Aug 2018. 6. Ranking events for this meet will be 50FS, 50Br, 50BK, 50BFLY & 100 FS for both groups 7. Senior events will be held every 20 min, no matter which event and heat of the ranking meet will be going on. Extra time will be provided if senior swimmers request for it. 8. 100FS, 50BK and 50BR will be held in the morn session and 50BFLY and 50FS will be held in the evening session for both the groups. 9. Ranking events will be held as time trials. The reason to merge the ranking meet with the senior meet is to give an opportunity for sub juniors to watch the senior’s race and get motivated. We request all units to take this opportunity and help us in making this ranking meet a great success and get our sub junior swimmers to reach greater heights in the years to come.
