Brain Training. TV Quizzes. Reading. Learn new skills. Keep your hobbies. Volunteer.

Visit your GP Surgery. Try your library. Attend community meetings. Read church newsletters. Use the internet.

Attend coffee clubs. Attend your church. Visit your community centre. Entertain your friends. Stay in touch with family.

Have your flu jab. Have regular health reviews – including memory and mental health. Take your medication as advised. Have medication checks. Use your pharmacy for advice.

Work on your willpower and motivation Remember what you are good at.

Make sure your home is secure. Consider home adaptations. Don’t let oppressive salesmen put you off getting the equipment you need. Downsize if it makes things easier. Consider an emergency call line.

Visit your neighbours. Learn to use internet communication.

Get your free bus pass. Use Dial and Ride services for shopping. Consider Meals on Wheels.

Don’t be scared to use services . . . . but; •

Be prepared to see a nurse rather than a GP when appropriate.



Consider telephone consultations where appropriate.



Be aware that your pharmacy can help with lots of different things.
