Items of Interest: Irwin Creek Greenway and Stewart Creek Greenway converge for a 2.1 mile creekside walk in center city area of Charlotte. This section of greenway connects with Fraizer Park in the middle, with Phillip O. Berry Recreation Center and Ray’s Splash Planet on the ends. Also of interest along the walk are Our Children’s Memorial Walkway and the historic Elmwood Cemetery. Wildlife is spotted frequently along the creek including Mallard Ducks and Great Blue Heron. The trail is only a few minutes walk from Johnson & Wales University, Gateway Center and uptown condos and offers a quiet place to relax during the busy day.
