Say “Aloha” to camp as we embrace summer with beach ball kickball, limbo contests, and lawn games. We will tie-dye t-shirts, build our own leis, and end the week with a Luau! Wear your favorite team gear, lace up your sneakers, and get ready for some sports mania! We’ll build team spirt as we practice foundational skills and put a few twists on some traditional sports games! Put on your lab coats and get ready for Mad Science week! When we combine one part science and two parts imagination, the outcome is some excitingly, unusual activities. We will make concoctions, design our own inventions, and perform experiments that are sure to capture attention! After a week full of red, white, and blue, campers will be ready to celebrate Independence Day! We’ll review history of America, create patriotic crafts, play a game of capture the flag, and end the week with our own American BBQ!

Wet-N-Wild

Campers will go on daily outdoor adventures including hikes, scavenger hunts, and a picnic! From creepy crawlies underground, to plant and animal wildlife, we’ll use this week to explore nature in the beautiful park around us! Based on the television show, Survivor, spirit fills the air as teams participate in competitions to gain points throughout the week. Some challenges require skill and energy, while others involve thought and problem solving. Group unity and participation are essential. Come one, come all to Stone Park’s Camp Carnival for the week! Join this wild and wacky adventure as we learn magic tricks, play carnival games, and clown around! Campers will also have the opportunity to show off their talents at the end of the week in a camp talent show! Campers will bond and put their powers to the test by solving mysteries and traveling through an obstacle course! Everyone will discover they can achieve Super Hero status as they help each other with games and challenges throughout the week! Summer wouldn’t be complete without a traditional water week! So, add some extra sunscreen, gather the squirters, and fill the water balloons, because this week promises to be packed with wet and wild fun! Campers will feel the excitement all the way from your head down to your wrinkled toes!

Parent Statement of Understanding The following information is important for the safety and protection of your child. Please read this information and sign below.   

I understand that I am not to leave my child at Stone Park or program site unless a camp staff member is there to receive and supervise my child. I understand that it is my responsibility to sign-in my child in the morning and sign-out my child before leaving in the afternoon. Sign-in/Sign-out sheets are available as you arrive at the program area. I understand that my child will not be allowed to leave the program with an unauthorized person. Any person authorized to pick up my child must be listed on this form. Authorization by telephone will not be accepted.

In the case that your child becomes ill during the program, you will be contacted as soon as possible. If the parent or guardian is unable to be reached, the child’s emergency contact will be notified. It is the responsibility of the parents or guardians to arrange for the child to be picked up from the site as soon as possible. In the case that your camper or anyone in the immediate household of the camper develops a reportable communicable disease as defined by the State Board of Health, it is the responsibility of the parent to notify the camp within 24 hours or the next business day in order for the camp to take proper action, except in the case of life-threatening diseases which must be reported immediately. My signature authorizes the management and staff to act for me according to their best judgment in the event of a medical emergency and/or routine medical care. I/we grant permission for emergency medical treatment and/or routine medical care by the Stone Park Summer Camp staff, a rescue squad, or private physician and/or hospital or emergency health care facility staff, under the same circumstances as above, if needed. Any such action will be taken in the best interest of my child and will be reported to me/us as soon as possible. My signature waives and/or releases Stone Park Summer Camp from any and all liability and/or financial responsibility for any medical expenses incurred. Camper Supply List With a variety of outdoor and craft activities, camp can be messy and muddy. Below is the recommended list of supplies that will best prepare your child for a safe and fun experience at camp. Please label all items and bring them daily in a bag or backpack. (Valuables should be left at home. Stone Park is not responsible for broken, lost, or stolen items.) 

     

Daily lunch/snacks o Items should brought in an insulated bag if needed. Depending on the weather, we may enjoy meals outdoors. o Please ensure items are nut-free. We also suggest you avoid packing a lot of candy and sweets. Too many of these can make your child sick when outdoors in the heat. Comfortable shoes (tennis shoes preferred) Water bottle Complete extra set of clothing Sunscreen (Should be applied prior to drop off and stored in backpack. Staff members will reapply sunscreen at lunchtime or as needed) Bug Spray (optional) Baseball cap or visor (optional)

Behavior Agreement Stone Park Summer Camp is committed to a safe and fun experience. Along with our efforts, we hold high expectations that campers will help us create that environment by following some simple, but effective rules. We encourage you to review the rules below with your child. I will be a safe, respectful, and responsible camper by:     

listening to the staff and following their directions. asking a staff member for permission before leaving a room or an area respecting other’s belongings by not touching/using their stuff without permission. keeping my hands, feet, and other objects to myself using kind and appropriate language.

Disciplinary Action: Upon staff discretion, failure to abide by these rules may result in a warning, sitting out of an activity, parent notification, day of camp suspension, or full camp suspension.
