A 2-week programme comprises a series of lectures, field trips and architectural design workshops conducted by professors, practising professionals, and experts from the field. Programme Structure Part 1 - To introduce students to historical, theoretical, and practical aspects of architecture - Consists of •lectures on architectural history and theory focusing on city design •guided field trips to significant architectural sites including the Hong Kong Wetland Park, Zero Carbon Building (near Megabox), Tai O Heritage Hotel, and architecture offices

Part 2 - To give students an introduction to the culture of architectural companies and how they work outside of academia - To raise students’ awareness of the hands-on and interactive nature in architectural training - Consists of •Demonstration of the latest digital tools of an architectural designer and how those tools are applied in a practical way to develop a design •Short exercises to apply the design skills and knowledge acquired during the programme with a final product to present at the end of the programme

Spanish Architect with teaching experience from Chinese University of Hong Kong and Greenwich University of UK. Methodical and engaging, able to bring out the students' interests and motivation about learning architecture. Extensive professional experience on concept design, implementation and BIM project management working in many projects throughout UK, Australia, Hong Kong, PRC and Middle East. His works include train stations, world heritage sites, hospitals, residential complexes, shopping malls, schools, large commercial offices and sport facilities among others.

Certificate of Attendance will be issued by HKDI to the students who have completed the programme. The attendance requirement is 70%.
