Thanks to the generosity of the Friends of the Library organizations, a variety of programs have been designed to stimulate imaginations, encourage creativity and support continued learning.

Jungle Book Adventure Workshops Create your own storytelling jungle adventure!

A feast for the senses! Asolo Repertory Theatre presents the world premiere of this eye-popping multimedia adaptation, reimagining your favorite characters like you’ve never seen them before. Recommended for ages 5+. Special family prices start at $15 per person.

In conjunction with Asolo Rep’s June production of “Jungle Book,” this creative storytelling workshop uses Rudyard Kipling’s classic novel to inspire curiousity about our world’s jungles, adding elements of character development and drama to create new stories. Together with our partners, we’re filling minds and tummies! As many as 40,000 Sarasota and DeSoto County students, including their younger siblings, face hunger during the summer. All Faiths Food Bank has partnered with the Sarasota County School District Food and Nutrition Services and the Sarasota County Library System to feed children and families over summer vacation. Meals, groceries and bags of kid-friendly snacks will be provided throughout the summer.
