Summer Camp Teachers Passionate about working with kids and inspiring creativity and innovative thinking? Love the Design Thinking process and making? At Camp Hudson, we strive to create the kind of summer you always dreamed about where kids’ big ideas turn into things like lawn-sized Rube Goldberg machines and ninja obstacle courses. The Camp

Camp Hudson’s mission is to instill a love of learning, to inspire creativity and wonder, and to teach children the process to design and build their big ideas. Run by Hudson Lab School, Camp Hudson is a boutique summer day camp with approximately 36 campers each week ranging from grades K-5. Each camp week has a unique theme (e.g., Space Week, Harry Potter week, Forces in Motion Week) and we construct a large-scale project outdoors revolving around the theme. Individually each child is free to create smaller projects on his or her own. We teach safe, appropriate tool usage, along with gardening, drawing, painting and creative play. Our goal is to foster each child’s confidence that their skills at designing, making and revising are unlimited—just like their imaginations. Lead children in outdoor education, science experiments, gardening, nature walks, games and activities, etc. 3) The Part-Time Makerspace Teacher loves to make! Work Mondays through Wednesday and tag-team teach with our Curriculum Director leading kids in fun projects using computers, mini robots, art materials, recycled materials or just plain pencil and paper. No carpentry or tool experience is necessary, but we do look for an aptitude in problem solving and ability in working with your hands. About the Position
