Dear Educator, This year marks the 22nd annual Summer Reading Program, where students can earn a free book. Our program is designed to reinforce learning and motivate students to continue reading throughout the summer. Each month, we’ll be featuring different genres to inspire students to expand their reading horizons. We encourage them to visit their local Barnes & Noble and discover something new, check out our latest exclusives, and earn a free book.
HERE’S HOW IT WORKS: Distribute the reading journals to your students.
Students pick any book and read at their own pace. Students complete the reading journal by listing the books they read and describing their favorite part of each book.
After reading eight books, they redeem their completed journal for a free book.

INDIVIDUAL SCHOOL BOOKFAIRS Our bookfairs are a perfect fundraising opportunity for pre-K through grade 12 schools. During your bookfair, supporters can shop in store or online, and your school receives a percentage of the net proceeds from the sales.
REQUIRED READING LISTS We’ll make your required reading lists readily available and help your students find all the books they need. We can even prepare special in-store displays just for your school.
