TEACHER RESOURCE SHARING GROUPS - AQA GCSE Geography 1. How to join the Schoology Teacher Resource Sharing Group for AQA To join, simply create an account at www.schoology.com or login to an existing an account if you have one. Once logged in to Schoology - go to "Groups" at the top and then click join. You will then need to put in the correct access code (see list below).

Once you have an account you can access the OCR group at any time by simply logging in, clicking groups along the top and selecting the relevant group. You will only need to input the access code once, this will make you a member and the logo will then show up in your list of groups to click on at any time.

When in the group you will see the updates page (above) - here you can add a message (like on a facebook wall) OR you will see messages that others have put. It is best that if you upload a resource to leave a message on the updates page and then whenever someone logs in they will see what new resources have been added.

Remember this is a group for sharing resources there is no one person creating things to add to the group it is a shared area which can be used for uploading resources as well as sharing links and ideas

2. How to access resources To access the resources folders in the group, simple click on Resources on the left hand side menu. You will then see the folder list which has been broken up into the different sections of the course. Folders can be added as the group evolves both at this level and within folders to organise resources however is most logical. At the moment it has been set up to include under each topic a folder for lessons resources and a folder for video / multimedia resources and links.

3. How to upload resources To upload a resource, simply navigate through the folders to the area / topic that you wish to upload to. Then simply click Add resources from the menu at the top. To upload a PowerPoint, word document etc.. simply click "Add File" to add a weblink click "Add Link" - it will then ask you to select the location of the file you wish to upload (or the URL of the link you want to add) and the upload process will begin. It is possible to upload multiple files in one go - simply hold ctrl down when selecting the files from the browser window. There is a limit of TEN files in anyone go. Also no one file can be over 512Mb in size (but this is unlikely anyway).

Once you have uploaded a resources - let people know it is there - you can simply click on Updates on the left and leave a message to tell people what you have uploaded and where! R Chambers 31st August 2016
