MS/HS PTA PRESIDENT’S CORNER Hi Everyone,
As my third year as President ends, I’d like to thank everyone who helped to make this a fun and successful year. A special thanks goes out to my committee chairs and board members. A huge thanks goes out to the After Prom 2016 committee for a great time for all the children on May 14th. Kathy Yarian and her committee did an awesome job! Senior parents: Thank you and congratulations and best of luck to your children. Junior parents: it’s now time for you to step up and plan the next after prom. Congratulations to all the Seniors who received scholarships at Scholars Night. Fairview Park PTAs awarded 8 scholarships. Kathy Reilley is replacing me as President of MSHS PTA. She will be looking for energetic people to �ill the positions in PTA. See the enclosed list of committees further in the newsletter and consider participating.
Summerfest is set for July 8-10. Come join the fun! PTA is sponsoring a PIE EATING CONTEST on Sunday.

A MESSAGE FROM THE INCOMING MS/FHS PTA PRESIDENT
Greetings! I want to introduce myself. My name is Kathy Reilley and I will be the new MS/HS PTA President for the 20162017 school year. I will have two children at the high school next year: Robert, a junior and Kathlyn, a freshman. I am inviting you to come and join the PTA! We plan on continuing our monthly meetings on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm held in the High School Warrior Room. The first meeting will be Tuesday, September 13th. Come and get involved! It is a lot of fun and you will meet a great bunch of dedicated individuals. There are many committees that are open and need volunteers for the new school year. See the list of PTA committees on the last page of this newsletter. Let me know if you would like to fill a committee position. All are welcome!! Feel free to contact me with any questions at:

FHS/MMS PTA FUNDRAISERS PTA Kalahari Day-Our Fairview Middle/High School PTA Day at Kalahari will be on the last Day of School, Wednesday, June 1st. What a great way to celebrate the end of school and beginning of summer!! Call now for reservations 877-5252427. We get a special rate of $119.00 per 4 person room. An additional fee of $25 can be paid for an additional person. Make sure you tell them when booking if you have 5 people (5 person rooms have a sofa bed). Have Fun!! Flyer Attached. Box Tops Contests— We have one more contest left for this school year. The winner of the last contest can win one also. Just clip your Box Tops and send them in to the Middle or High School offices. Coming this Summer Camp Invention coming this summer!
Camp Invention, a summer camp that inspires innovation, creative-problem solving and teamwork and will be held at Gilles-Sweet Elementary from June 6-10 from 9:00am-3:30pm for students entering 1st-5th grade. The middle school camp for students entering 6th-8th grade will be held at Gilles-Sweet Elementary School from June 6-10 from 9:00am-3:00pm. The cost is $220 for 1st-5th grade and $275 for 6th-8th grade. Sibling discounts are available. There will be a Camp Extension before and after Camp Invention for families needing their child to attend between 7:30 am and 5:30pm. The cost of the Camp Extension is $80. FAIRVIEW MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL PTA MEMBERSHIP We are proud that our schools have a viable PTA with a supporting membership.
