SO FESTIVAL 2018 - LARGE SCALE, INTERACTIVE, INSTALLATIONS Tender Opportunity About SO Festival SO Festival in 2018 will take place from Friday 31 August through to Sunday 2 September 2018 (inclusive), at two locations on the east coast of Lincolnshire. Since starting in 2009, SO Festival has been attracting audiences of up to 100,000 and will continue to do so for a further 4 years as a result of being successful in obtaining NPO (National Portfolio Funding) from Arts Council England. SO Festival aims to be one of the most exciting, innovative and accessible outdoor arts festivals in the UK, promoting and presenting the best in festival arts and entertainment, attracting new audiences and creating new opportunities and experiences for the people of the East Lindsey district and beyond. www.sofestival.org

Our needs For our 2018 event, we are in the process of applying for additional funding from the Rural Development Programme for England to bring a large scale, interactive, art installation to the Festival. It must be an attraction that is exciting, fun and interesting for all ages. Ideally we would like to charge a small entry fee to contribute towards costs. We are open to any idea or installation that meets our needs.

Details of Requirements

Locations:

The exact site for the installation is to be confirmed following a site visit to Mablethorpe

Dates:

Friday 31st August, Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd September 2018

Opening Times:

The structure must be ready to open to the public from 11:00hrs – 20:00hrs (9hrs) each day

Capacity Levels:

Ideally between 150 to 200 visitors per hour. We would like to get as many ‘paying’ customers through the installation as possible.

Accessibility:

The structures should appeal to the broadest public and be fully accessible (including to wheelchair users)

Health & Safety:

As a minimum, applicants will be required to complete and return Magna Vitae Trust for Leisure & Culture’s Health & Safety and Environmental Questionnaire, and supply all relevant documentation requested, including suitable and sufficient risk assessments and method statements, as well as evidence of Public Liability (min £5m), Employers Liability and where appropriate, Indemnity insurance cover held.

All information/documentation submitted will be assessed prior to contracting.
