TENTATIVE SYLLABUS FOR ADOBE SUITE WORKSHOP Course description: Students will be engaging the use of three of the Adobe software products within the Adobe Creative Suite: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign, to create an eight‐ page newsletter. The instructor will guide students in the use of Adobe Photoshop to create and edit photo content for their newsletter, Adobe Illustrator to make vector clipart as filler pieces, and Adobe InDesign to compile the final product. A portion of the course will also be devoted to tips on writing good newsletter content. This knowledge can be transferred to fliers, brochures, and all sorts of publications. Week 1: Introduction to Adobe Photoshop a. The basic tools b. Images and image quality (jpgs, tiffs, resolution) c. Manipulating an image Week 2: Introduction to Adobe Illustrator a.
