LEARNING REFLECTION WEEK It has been wonderful to have so many friends and family in school this week, joining us to share the children’s achievements. Even the drizzly weather couldn’t dampen the high spirits at the Reception Garden Party yesterday!

YEAR 6 PERFORMANCE OF CHARLIE & THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY Congratulations to Year 6 for their fabulous end of year production. The children were absolutely amazing – parents and staff all agreed that it was one of the best Y6 performances in Greenfields’ history. What a wonderful memory to treasure, with lots of smiles and laughter, plus a few tears. We wish good luck and a very fond farewell to the Year 6, they will most definitely be missed.

ATTENDANCE Congratulations to Class 2H and Class 3D who achieved the best attendance in their Phase last week. Eight classes achieved more than the national average attendance of 96%; well done to all of you! Reception & Attendance Key Stage 1

ARRANGEMENTS FOR SEPTEMBER 2015 In September we will continue to have the smaller single year group classes that we introduced last year. This arrangement has not only been popular with children, parents and staff, it has also had a really positive impact on the children’s learning. The 15 classes will be organised as follows: Nursery Reception Year 1 Year 2 Year 3 Year 4 Year 5 Year 6

Mrs Coyle (Foundation Team Leader) Mrs Chambers & Mrs Brown Miss Roebuck Miss Shell (Y1/Y2 Team Leader) Mrs Long & Mrs Rook Miss Smith Mrs Thain (Y5/Y6 Team Leader) Mrs Connelly & Mrs Cockman (Assistant Headteacher)

Mr Halliburton Miss Hodgson Mrs Lycett Miss Taylor Miss Barlow Miss Heckels Miss Johnson

On Monday the children will go to their new classroom, with their new teacher and spend 4 days getting used to the new routines for September and taking part in another ‘SMART’ week, with lots of exciting themed activities. We would like to say good-bye and thank you to Ms Holland, Ms Sloan, Miss Matthews and Miss Dixon who will be leaving Greenfields at the end of term. We would also like to say a fond farewell to Mrs Watkins, who has recently celebrated her 70th birthday and has decided to retire from her post as cleaner in charge after 20 years service to the school.
