We would like to welcome everyone back to Greenfields after the Christmas break.

PERSONAL BEST CERTIFICATES This week’s ‘Personal Best’ certificates go to: Bailey Y1, Matiss Y3 and Brooke Y6

All of these children should all be very proud of their achievements.

PARENT/CARER FORUM Our next meeting is on Tuesday 17th January at 2:00 p.m. and this will be a general meeting for you to help us set the programme for future meetings. If you have any time to spare, please do come along – the meetings are very informal and Mrs Cockman always enjoys a coffee and a chat!

A MESSAGE FROM EARLY YEARS This half term, the theme in Early Years is ‘People who help us’. We are hoping for a visit from a police officer, a fire fighter and a postman, perhaps you could visit too? If there are any parents or carers, who would like to talk to the children about their job (how they help people, what special equipment or tools they use, what special uniform they have to wear, etc.) please let Mrs Coyle know.

F.O.G NEWS

There will be a Friends of Greenfields Meeting on Monday 9th January at 3.30pm. A crèche will be available for those parents bringing children.

FINALLY . . . You may have noticed some new faces on the playground this week – Miss Trebczyk and Mrs Penfold have joined the Greenfields team. Mrs Penfold is teaching in Year 6 with Mrs Cockman and Miss Trebaczyk is teaching in Year 1 with Mrs Chambers now that Miss Evans has moved to Year 4. We also have to wish a fond farewell to Mrs Simmons, who will be leaving Greenfields next week. Mrs Simmons has managed the office at Greenfields for many years and things will just not be the same without her.
