NES CSDSI WORKSHOP “NETWORKS AND SOCIAL INTERACTIONS” The 2nd NES CSDSI workshop for students and young researchers will be held at the NES Campus in Skolkovo (Moscow) from 15 till 19 November, 2016. The main goal of the workshop is to introduce students to network theory and applications. Networks are fashionable and rapidly advancing interdisciplinary methodologies with many applications in Economics, Finance, Sociology, Computer Science and other fields. We also aim to foster links between young researchers with different interests in the broad area of network analysis. At the workshop, we will have tutorials, lectures of invited speakers (both from academia and corporate sector), research presentations, and discussions. Presentations will be in English and Russian.

This workshop is organized by the NES Center for the Study of Diversity and Social Interactions under the project of the RF Government grant No.14.U04.31.0002.

The program committee: Sergei Izmalkov (chair), Denis Davydov, Dmitry Krutikov. The organizing committee: Dmitry Krutikov and Seseg Vanchikova.

We aim to bring about 25-30 students of the 4th year of bachelor programs, master or PhD programs, and young faculty from Russian universities. A limited number of travel & accommodation grants is available to participants from regional universities.

Application form, CV (in Russian), and the statement of purpose (in English) should be submitted to [email protected] before November 01, 2016. Invited participants will be informed before November 07, 2016. Being selected all the participants should submit the document of the higher education (diploma), students also have to send “spravka” about their involvement from the university.
