The Anthony Shuker Scientific Poster Session call for aBSTracTS The Georgia Bio Innovation Summit will be held November 2, 2015 at Cobb Galleria in Atlanta. The Summit is considered the preeminent gathering of scientists and industry decision makers for Georgia’s life sciences community, and an ideal medium to foster relationships for future scientific and business growth and opportunity. The Executive Committee invites the submission of abstracts from Georgia-based scientists for this year’s poster session. Abstracts must be submitted electronically via gabio.org by Friday, Sept. 11, 2015. ➤ Who Can Participate? This opportunity to participate in the Poster Session is open to representatives from Georgia-based academia, research institutes and industry alike, and we especially encourage students and post-doctoral fellows to participate. ➤ What are the categories? Abstracts will be subject to the same scientific review as for any national or regional meeting. The scientific content of poster presentations should reflect one of the following categories: • • • • •

Agricultural Biotechnology Bioenergy C  ell Therapy & Tissue Engineering D  rug Discovery and Development Food and Nutrition

Healthcare IT Industrial Production Medical Technology and Devices Molecular and Biological Research Nanotechnology

➤ What If My Abstract Gets Selected? For student, post-doctoral or non-profit organization abstracts selected, the corresponding author of each poster will receive complimentary registration to the Summit. In addition, posters submitted by students will be eligible for a limited number of poster awards. If your Abstract is selected, you will be required to attend the Summit on November 2, 2015 for judging. Please review the Abstract Guidelines which are listed online at www.gabio.org/summit2015.
