The theme of the festival centers around a distinct feature of our heritage, one that is drawn from deep within the deserts of Qatar - sheep and goat breeding. The festival will present specific methods that help in breeding and raising sheep and will also showcase numerous traditional events along with educational and recreational activities.

The Arab Music Department’s Annual Student and Faculty Concert
“Our Heritage” As part of its mission to preserve and promote Arab Musical heritage, Qatar Music Academy’s Arab Music Department is holding its annual Student and Faculty concert showcasing pieces of instrumental and vocal repertoire. The concert will highlight and bring life to different Arab vocal forms, such as al-Muwashah, alKassid and some of the Gulf region’s musical arts genre including fan al-sut (al-‘Arabi and Shami); considered to be a rooted art which appeared in the mid-19th century.
