General 1. What position(s) are you applying for? (Marketing & PR Head/Fundraising Head/Section Head) 2. What do you know about The Insider? 3. Have you had any previous experience in any club/managerial position? If so, please mention briefly, including what you learnt from them? 4. Why are you applying for this position specifically? 5. Provide constructive criticism for The Insider (GUC) 2012/2013. 6. Mention the direction you believe The Insider as a whole should be taking in 2013/2014.
For Marketing & PR / Fundraising: 1. Write the job description for the position you’re applying from your perspective, stating what duties you think will be part of your job. 2. Write a detailed time plan using the academic calendar of this semester stating your ideas of (events, meetings, sponsors, etc…..) according to the committee you are applying in. 3. How will you prefer to work with your committee members? (Tasks assigned, meetings, etc). 4. For Marketing and PR: write a plan for The Insider’s onground recruitment, stating (plan, time horizon, budget, etc….). 5. For Fundraising: mention at least 2 ideas for Fundraising events.
For Section Heads: (Must be Insider member for at least 1 month) 1. Write the job description for the position you’re applying from your perspective, stating what duties you think will be part of your job. 2. Mention ideas related to your section for: a. 4 News reports. b. 2 Opinion Articles. c. 2 Feature articles / Investigations. d. 2 Video reports. 3. Propose a brief plan to include: a. Job distribution among members. b. Assessment of members. c. Methods of communication with members and/or Journalism Head, including any needed documentation.
