The Jesus Life Lesson 17 Title: The Jesus Life: Learning, Loving, Living Sermon: The Impact of the Jesus Life Scripture: Acts 2:42-4:12 Big Idea: The Spirit empowered life reflects the Jesus life. Announcements * Women’s Tea: Ladies, the most exciting event of the Women’s Ministries year - the Women's Tea - is next Saturday, May 5 from 10am to 1pm. Because of the popularity of last year’s guest speaker, Renee Bondi, we’ve invited her to return, this time with a completely new message. Today is the last day to sign up on the patio. If you've already signed up but haven't yet paid, drop by the table with your payment to receive your table assignment and your ticket. And, table hostesses, please stop by the Women’s table today for the list of ladies who will be at your table. * Jr and High School Preview Nights: Parents, do you have a student about to enter Middle School or High School? Check our website for info about the upcoming youth group preview nights that are planned to introduce your students to those ministries. [Bryce – can we put the dates on the slide? Jr. High Preview Nights are Thursday, May 3rd and 10th. High School Preview Night is Wednesday, May 9th AND a special Hang Out Night for incoming High Schoolers on Friday, May 11th. ] * Jr High Leaders Needed: Student Ministries is in need of leaders, especially several women for our Junior High Girls. This is such an important time in student’s lives and we want to connect them with Jesus and Godly mentors. Please be praying that these needs are filled and contact Pastor Jordan if you sense that God might be calling you to help. * Chapel pianists needed: Our Chapel venue is looking for more piano players to join their team. Read Acts 3 4. How would you feel today if someone like Peter asked you to join him in praying for a crippled and homeless person?

Read Acts 4:1-22 5. When, if ever, do you feel that Peter’s response to his political and religious leaders would be appropriate for a Christian today?

6. Given the description of Peter and John in 4:13 and their impact, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you what you need to improve your impact for Jesus.

7. Consider the story of a Texas oil man who lived in poverty for most of his life, that is, until oil was discovered on his property. He suddenly became a very wealthy man. Similarly, many Christians live in spiritual poverty although within them resides the supernatural empowerment of the Holy Spirit. What can you do to access God’s power of the Holy Spirit within you?

Read Acts 4:32-37 and Ephesians 4:1-6 10. Unity among Christians is important to God. Of the qualities listed Ephesians 4:2, which do you demonstrate the best? And the worst?
