Wedding Fair Come and have a look at the venue. This space is transformed for your special day. Meet vendors who can supply services to make your day perfect. The fair is free entry to public and is open at 1pm until 5pm.
There have been lots of changes over the summer around site. The lights have been updated over the whole site which we hope will be a big improvement for all our users. The Link and Community Learning have also moved office. We have an A frame outside to show the way but we can be found in the building behind our old office up the stairs.
Christmas Fair We are holding our Christmas fair again at The Link. We will be joined be St Luke’s and holding a raffle to raise funds for them. The big man in the red suit will also be here all day, along with some of his helpers. Bring the children with their wish lists, find out who’s on the nice/naughty list.
We will be joined by a host of stalls selling a wide variety of items. Come pick up a few Christmas presents, stocking fillers, and listen to some Christmas music get into the festive spirit. All welcome come and join us in the sports hall.

We would like to share news about one of our Leisure assistants/Lifeguards. Amy has been with us for over 12 months. Pool and weekend clients will probably already know, Amy is a keen swimmer for Alsager Bridgestone and participates in open water swimming. This month within a team of swimmers ,Amy is swimming the channel to raise money for Teenager Cancer Trust. Amy is raising funds by using a just giving page if you would like to donate please visit www.justgiving.com/fundraising/ doversoulsecho. The Channel is 21 miles but the distance Amy could swim is all dependent on the current and weather. They are hoping to beat the team that has just swam the Channel with a time of 14hrs. The fastest ever recorded team swim is 7hr 17mins. Amy will be setting off either 2nd or 3rd Sept anytime to suit weather and tide. The team will use either Shakespeare’s beach or Abbots cliff to depart from and swim towards Cap Gris Nes. Oh and I forgot to mention this crazy young lady is only 17yrs old. Watch out for passing ships and things that bite Amy.
