WELCOME Barbados is a superb world-class destination for dinghy racing. As the World Champions both in 2010 and in 2013 said, "The waters off Carlisle Bay offer champagne sailing conditions." Rest assured that RDL Logistics Services and their partners deliver a seamless, professional service ensuring your containers enter and leave the island as smoothly as possible. We all hope everyone enjoys their time visiting the island and competing in the upcoming World Championships.

Competing vessels, equipment, tools and personal effects must be cleaned of all debris and soils and packed securely into shipping containers for onward forwarding to the Bridgetown Port, Barbados. Each competitor is responsible for securing his or her equipment.

Unloading Following Customs examination, cargo will be unloaded and dispatched as per a predetermined schedule, which can be viewed on the RDL event logistics website (www.rdlupdates.com).

It is extremely important to issue each vessel with a unique identification number. This number will be used for the duration of the logistics cycle, both inbound and outbound, and will be reflected throughout your documentation and clearance processes. This number must be firmly affixed to the vessel in such a way that it remains throughout the total logistics exercise. All accompanying equipment parts, tools and personal effects must be packaged separately and marked clearly with the name of the participant and the vessel’s unique identification number.

Repacking A repacking schedule will be uploaded to the RDL logistics event website. Competing vessels, tools and personal effects must be cleaned of all soil and debris and packed securely into designated containers. Each competitor is responsible for securing his or her cargo.

4. BRIDGETOWN PORT Containers will be closed, sealed and transported to the Bridgetown Port based on a predetermined schedule.

RDL’s status reporting system for each competitor will commence when the cargo departs from the Origin Port.

1. ORIGIN PORT [Return] 2. BRIDGETOWN PORT

The assigned Freight Forwarders used on export will clear goods arriving back at the Origin Port.

The RDL team will clear all cargo arriving at the Bridgetown Port and deliver to the Barbados Sailing Association Collection Point for the Customs examination and offloading process. 8
