SPIRAL DYNAMICS IS A TOOL THAT HELPS US TAKE THE PERSPECTIVE OF OTHERS, EVEN IF WE CARRY DIFFERENT CULTURAL BAGGAGE, OR ARE GUIDED BY DIFFERENT SETS OF VALUES. Based on thorough research, Spiral Dynamics describes the numerous value-based lenses through which we can choose to see the world: From egocentric to community-oriented, from conformist to individualist, and way beyond. It is a story of the layers of social functioning we each carry inside us, from the most primitive to the most evolved, and perspective that can help us see the beauty in every developmental stage or step, as it unfolds inside us or in the world.

Spiral Dynamics is a theory that describes how groups mature and evolve. It gives us a map that shows us where a group might want to go in order to grow. The focus is not on output and performance. Rather, Spiral Dynamics is concerned with what drives us, and the values that motivate our actions. The theory teaches us to discover these – often invisible – value systems and align them in ways so that the group can break out of obsolete habits and transcend itself.

Mathias has a master’s degree in music therapy, and is specialized in enhacing group dynamics through play and simulation exercises. He has gicen work-
