The park offers an excellent range of facilities, including a camping and caravan site, children’s play area, tennis courts, café, the Cloughmore Centre and top-class mountain bike trails.The park also provides numerous options for the walker, including two waymarked trails.
THE NARNIA TRAIL C.S Lewis was born in Belfast in 1898. His Chronicles of Narnia have sold over 100 million copies worldwide and his early years are known to have influenced his writing. As a young boy, Lewis often holidayed in Rostrevor and is reported to have written a letter to his brother saying: “That part of Rostrevor which overlooks Carlingford Lough is my idea of Narnia.” This family trail seeks to capture the imagination of children of all ages.
THE CLOUGHMORE TRAIL For those seeking more of a challenge, the Cloughmore Trail leads to the gigantic, 50 tonne, granite boulder ~ possibly the inspiration for Aslan’s table in the Narnia Chronicles ~ taking in a number of significant sites along the way.
