When plans don’t go as intended, public scrutiny can be intimidating and result in a loss of self-confidence and trust in your abilities. If you are to succeed in this highly visible and mercurial environment, you need the ability to manage the public interface and have the stamina to rebuild trust over and over again. This is a daunting task, but it provides opportunities for you to step up as a leader to influence and represent your community. With the essential tools to build resilience in the face of adversity, and with the courage to remain accountable when plans change, you put yourself in the optimal position to succeed as a leader in Local Government. This workshop will address the demands of Local Government, and focus on building the critical skills for success, while building an important resource of resilience. You will develop a greater capacity to manage constant change and recover from setbacks. Expert Facilitator: Katalin Howell Director and Founder Flow Leadership Katalin Howell has more than 20 Years’ experience in designing and delivering leadership programs with leading organisations such as Melbourne Business School and Leadership Victoria. Katalin is not only a proven academic but is also passionate about helping others. She is a mother of four and has more than 25 years in voluntary roles ranging from crisis counselling to board president roles. Katalin is the Founder and Director of Flow leadership, a company underpinned by proprietary research into leadership development.
