Three-time winner: Hoffmann Group wins the iF DESIGN AWARD Three products of the GARANT brand convinced an international jury with their high-quality design and functionality Knoxville, Tenn. – April 25, 2018 – The Hoffmann Group has received the coveted iF DESIGN AWARD for three GARANT premium brand products this year. The awards were for the GARANT ToolCar roller cabinet, the GARANT Xpent 5-axis vice and the hydraulic GARANT measuring stand in the product design discipline. The trio was able to impress the 63-member jury and to prevail against 6,400 submissions from 54 countries. The iF DESIGN AWARD is awarded once a year by the world's oldest independent design institution, iF International Forum Design GmbH in Hanover. The new GARANT GridLine ToolCar is a rolling organisational pro which impresses with progressive design and clear lines. The centrally lockable side compartment has a GARANT perforated panel, to which GARANT Easyfix holders and hooks for the tool holder can be attached. The GARANT ToolCar is also optionally available with a power supply in the side compartment and with lighting. Robust yet quiet rolling wheels as well as an ergonomically shaped push handle make it easier to move around in the workshop – even under extreme operating conditions.

The GARANT Xpent vice is optimised for 5-face machining and convinces with modularity and flexibility. It has clamping modules that can be rotated through 180 degrees, a travel of over one hundred millimetres without conversion and a modern quick-change spindle system. These features make it easy to adapt the clamp to any machining strategy in just a few simple steps. The top and front jaw system is a sophisticated design.

The hydraulic GARANT measuring stand is not just aesthetically pleasing, it also scored with its functionality. The product is designed for accurate holding and positioning of dial gauges and lever gauges. Its hydraulic central clamping system can unfold extreme holding forces and is wear-free. The large and rubberised clamping handle ensures that all joints can be fixed evenly. The high-performance ferrite magnet is switched on and off via the rotary switch located in the magnetic switch. With its V-shaped underside the measuring stand is also suitable for mounting on shafts and cylindrical bodies. The specially developed plastic enclosure of the magnetic base allows a secure grip and protects the surface of sensitive workpieces.

For 65 years, the iF DESIGN AWARD has been a recognised global brand when it comes to excellent design. The iF brand is internationally established as a symbol for outstanding design achievements. The iF DESIGN AWARD is one of the most important design awards in the world. It honours design achievements of all disciplines: Product, packaging, communication and service design/UX, architecture and interior design as well as professional concept. All winning entries are presented in the iF WORLD DESIGN GUIDE, published in the iF design app and shown in the iF design exhibition Hamburg.
