Students will learn about the history of the community: its lifestyle, technology and culture. Examine artifacts and explore the businesses that kept Edmonton bustling. This walking tour can accommodate other curriculum links and tie to larger themes. Suggestions include cultural traditions, celebrations and identity.

Program Objective The Time Traveller Tour program provides students with an opportunity to explore the wide world of Edmonton’s past. The main focus of the tour is social history, but the economic and political circumstances throughout Edmonton’s history can be touched on as well. Family life, community, and cultural contact are all dealt with as threads in the unique fabric of Edmonton’s society.
