Devotional Questions: 1. Do you have a favorite worship, gospel or Christian song? Why is it your favorite?   

2. How has music and singing played an inspirational role in your life?

3. Of the 4 reasons why we don’t sing, which 2 do you relate to the most? Why?  

4. Describe what God wants you to believe when you are confronted by the 2 reasons you don’t sing?  

5. What stirs in your heart when you consider that God sings and Jesus sings?

6. What changes about your image of Jesus, when you consider that He was anointed with the oil of joy (Hebrews 1:9) and that He was singing at the Last Supper with His disciples?

Next Steps: 1. What song will you commit to sing this week as a prayer and offering to our great God? 

2. In Psalm 96 we are instructed to sing. What informs forms, therefore what do you believe Christ wants formed in you as you sing?  

3. As you sing this week, take a moment to journal or share with a friend what you experienced in Christ?

4. As you prepare your heart this week leading up to Christmas, take time to think about the truth and power found within the Advent hymns.
