Accessing Modified MasteringChemistry for First Time • Login to your D2L Brightspace account
• Go to your Chem 1061 LECTURE course • Navigate to Materials > Content > Modified MasteringChemistry
• Click on the link to Pearson MyLab and Mastering • Then click the Open MyLab and Mastering button
• If you purchased the custom textbook in the ARCC Bookstore, click on the Access Code button.
• If you did not purchase the custom package in the ARCC Bookstore and wish to purchase access to MasteringChemisty (with eText), click on the $59.95 USD button. • If waiting for financial aid, click on the temporary access without payment for 14 days link near the bottom of the page. Paid access required to complete the course.
• If you clicked the Access Code button, complete the form on this page. Go to the next slide if you clicked the $59.95 USD button. Go ahead two slides if you clicked the temporary access link. • Enter one of the two access codes bundled with the custom textbook package purchased from the ARCC Bookstore. Access is valid for 6 months. • Save and/or record the second access code for Chem 1062 or for retaking Chem 1061.
• If you clicked the $59.95 USD button, complete this form. Go to the next slide if you clicked the temporary access link. • Secure payment may be made with credit card, debit card, or PayPal.
• If you clicked the temporary access without payment for 14 days link near the bottom of the page, select Yes to continue. • Temporary Access provides full access to the course for 14 days before payment is required. • Paid access is required to complete the course.
• Once you have successfully registered for the course, you will be taken to this page. • Click on Go to My Courses to go to the MasteringChemistry course.
• The Course Home on MasteringChemistry will look similar to this.
• Within Modified MasteringChemistry, the eText may be accessed by clicking on eText Chemistry: A Molecular Approach.
• Once you have registered for MasteringChemistry, your eText may also be accessed on mobile platforms. • This a screenshot of the login page of the Pearson eText app for iOS, as viewed on an iPad. • The Pearson eText app is a free download in your respective app store. The Pearson eText 2.0 app from currently provides only PDF access to the eText.
• Once you are logged in to the Pearson eText app, you will see a list of titles to which you are currently subscribed.
• Tapping anywhere on the cover will enable you to view the text.
• A menu and Table of Contents should be available at the top of the app. • Page navigation is performed using the left and right arrows shown on each page. • The eText shown here has navigation arrows on each side of the page. They are located at the bottom on the page on Pearson eText 2.0 for iOS.
• There is also a detailed, full-color Table of Contents in the text front matter.
• Temporary access may be upgraded to full course access at any time by clicking on My Courses from the Course Home page in MasteringChemistry.
• In your list of courses, click the Upgrade Access link in your MasteringChemistry course. • As indicated in the course syllabus, 6-month access to MasteringChemistry with eText is $59.95.
