The public health training centers and preventive medicine programs did not receive a transfer from the Prevention and Public Health Fund (PPHF) FYs 2013-2015; however, the programs received a $25 million transfer from the PPHF in FY 2012 and a $20 million transfer from the PPHF in FY 2011. 2 Since FY 2011, the Oral Health Training line has included funding for state dental health improvement grants under §340G of the Public Health Service Act. The programs previously were funded under Allied Health. 3 The FY 2012 figures in this table reflect a 0.189 percent rescission applied to most Labor-HHS-Education programs in P.L. 112-74. 4 The FY 2012 total for the mental and behavioral health program included a $10 million transfer from the Prevention and Public Health Fund; however the programs did not receive a transfer in FYs 2013-15. 5 The FY 2013 figures in this table are from HRSA’s FY 2013 Sequestration Operating Plan, updated in late-May; they reflect rescissions included in Division F, Title V of the Continuing Appropriations Act (P.L. 113-6), cuts as required under sequestration by the Budget Control Act (P.L. 112-25) and the American Taxpayer Relief Act (P.L. 112-240), as well as additional transfers within the Department of Health and Human Services. 6 The FY 2012 total for geriatrics programs included a $2 million transfer from the PPHF Alzheimer’s Fund, and the FY 2013 total includes a $1.847 million transfer from the Fund. The programs did not receive a transfer FYs 14-15 7 The President’s FY 2015 budget proposes to fund the Advanced Education Nursing program through the Public Health Service (PHS) evaluation tap. *The President’s FY 2015 budget proposes new funding for the Rural Physician Training Grants authorized under Title VII Sec. 749B and new funding for the Clinical Training in Interprofessional Practice, authorized under Sections 747,748, and 750 of Title VII and Sections 811 and 831 of Title VIII.
