The Paul Bunyan legend has an interesting connection to Cragun’s Resort - Minnesota Resorts. Merrill and Louise Cragun copyrighted his name in 1935 and developed the yarns into books, games, novelties and postcards to help promote the Paul Bunyan Association. It was during this time that Merrill and Louise decided to build Cragun’s Resort in Brainerd, Minnesota. You can visit Paul Bunyan at the Brainerd Welcome Center.
