Tomorrow is Election Day: What Voters Need to Know March 14, 2016. Hillsborough County, FL-Tomorrow, March 15, is our Presidential Preference Primary Election Day. Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections Craig Latimer offers voters three tips that will ensure a smooth and easy voting experience for Hillsborough County voters. 1. Know your polling place. On Election Day, your ballot will be waiting for you at the polling place assigned to your precinct, and your vote won’t count if you vote in the wrong location. Click on the “precinct finder” at VoteHillsborough.org or call the Supervisor of Elections Office at (813) 744-5900 if you aren’t sure where to vote. 2. Bring ID. Poll workers will be checking for valid and current photo and signature identification before issuing you a ballot. Florida accepts nine different forms of voter ID: FL driver license, FL ID card (issued by DHSMV), US Passport, debit or credit card, military ID, student ID, retirement center ID, neighborhood association ID and public assistance ID. (You do not need to bring your Voter Information Card to the polls.) If you forget ID, you can vote a provisional ballot. 3. Know the Vote By Mail deadline. Vote By Mail ballots must be in the Supervisor of Elections office no later than 7 p.m. March 15. Vote By Mail ballots cannot be accepted at polling places because they would not arrive in the Supervisor of Elections Office by the 7 p.m. deadline. Vote By Mail ballots can be dropped off at any of our four offices on Election Day: --Election Service Center, 2514 N. Falkenburg Rd., Tampa --County Center, 601 E. Kennedy Blvd., 16th floor, Tampa --Northwest Regional Office, 4575 Gunn Hwy., Tampa --Southeast Regional Office, 10439 Gibsonton Dr., Riverview Find election and voting information at VoteHillsborough.org. Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections staff are available throughout Election Day at (813) 744-5900 to answer voter questions and concerns. Polling places and the four Supervisor of Elections offices will be open from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. REMINDER TO MEDIA: Photography is not allowed inside or into Election Day polling places. Please call Gerri Kramer if you have any questions or concerns while covering Election Day: (813) 415-4337. We will begin reporting election results shortly after 7 p.m. at VoteHillsborough.org ###
