For a storage agnostic solution, our application direct data path gives owners up to 50% faster backup to Data Domain to provide customers with the flexibility they need in their environment. Finally, for virtualized mission critical databases, we offer a VMware hypervisor direct data path for up to 5x faster backup,

SIMPLE AND EFFICENT DATA PROTECTION A traditional backup solution not only impacts your application server, but it also requires a backup server, making the entire backup process slow and complex. Data Protection Suite for Applications removes the need for a backup server, and simplifies the solution. Our application direct data path performs client-side deduplication which helps limit the amount of data that needs to be sent through the application server. If the application can’t be impacted at all, then our storage direct path is the way to go because it performs a backup by sending data directly to a Data Domain system via fiber channel from Dell EMC primary storage (VMAX All Flash and XtremIO). For VMs, our hypervisor direct path allows you to backup up mission critical databases without the application impact normally associated with a traditional snap based backup.

DPA supports our express data paths, providing customers unified, comprehensive visibility into backups by monitoring the data on each storage systems as well as the flow of data between them.

protection designed for self-service, the amount of data created starts to increase.
