LEARNING INTENTIONS

- Students can alter the shot/pass to get the ball away from their opponent, - Students can apply this same concept in more than one sport.

ACTIVITY OUTLINE - Students to play with equipment and in teams that are sized appropriately to the desired sport. Set up courts running alongside each other, with nets lining up along the centre. - The focus is to alter the shot (depth/angle/speed) to get the ball away from their opponent. Start with a narrow and long court to focus on depth and speed of shot, and then progress to a short and wide court to focus on angle. - Students to pass the ball over the net using the pass type specific to the desired sport and play the point out. - After a certain number of points/time, students can rotate clockwise to find a new opponent, or have winners move one direction and opponent move the opposite to find a new opponent. - Alter the sport focus so that students are using a different skillset and new rules to move the ball
