Town Hall FAQ’s All, For those of you attending the Town Hall meeting tomorrow (Saturday, March 4) at (9:45 am) 10:30 am at the Brooks Center for the Performing Arts on Clemson University’s campus, here are our plans: 7:30 am – 8:00 am Starbucks in Easley (4839 Calhoun Memorial Highway, Easley, SC 29642)

~ This is our first meeting point that allows us to introduce ourselves, pass out copies of printed questions, and go over additional instructions before heading to Clemson (and of course, grab coffee!) 8:00 am – 8:30 am Caravan to Clemson

~You’re welcome to join us right at 8:00 am for the caravan to Clemson – but this allows people to carpool to the university, or simply be part of our timed arrival at 8:30 8:30 am – 8:45 am Meet at Parking Lot C-11

~You’re welcome to join us here. We will pass out copies of printed questions and go over any remaining instructions before taking our place in line. As this is the Upstate Coalition for Equality’s first town hall meeting, we are not sure what to expect. We want to provide everyone with opportunities to meet up (Starbucks and Parking Lot C-11) and get acquainted before the town hall begins. So far, here are our FAQs regarding tomorrow’s event: Q. What time do the doors open? A. We’re told the doors open at 9:45 am Q. How will we identify each other? A. We will not be wearing anything to identify ourselves or our group. And we will not have signs (per a rule set by the town hall organizers). Some of us – April Fretwurst and Terri Potter – plan to be at Starbucks at 7:30 am. We will also be in Parking Lot C-11. Q. What if I need to contact someone there? A. Terri Potter at 864-881-8233 (864-881-UCFE) is the point-of-contact for Upstate Coalition for Equality tomorrow from 7 am until 10:30 am (when the town hall begins). Q. Where can we get other info in real-time? A. We will post updates to our closed Upstate Coalition for Equality Facebook page.

Q. What should we wear? A. Our goal tomorrow is to get as many questions asked that we can. As such, we are following the guidelines provided by Indivisible Guide which suggest appearing very approachable. We are planning to dress business casual – no t-shirts with slogans or identifying groups or logos. We are certainly not mandating a dress code – come as you’re most comfortable, but this question has been asked.

We will continue to update the FAQs, event information, and more. We look forward to seeing tomorrow morning – whether it’s at Starbucks, in Parking Lot C-11, or at the town hall meeting. Q. Where can I or my friends sign up for Email alerts and newsletters from the Upstate Coalition for Equality? A. Go to our website at WWW.GSPEQUALITY.ORG , navigate to the GET INVOLVED menu and select “Email Sign-Up”
