Important Information Vendors, reserve your booth by completing the attached application form. Please remember to sign the agreement with the Town of Hempstead. Unsigned applications will not be accepted. Food vendors are required to furnish the Department of Parks and Recreation with a Certificate of Insurance for one million dollars naming the Town of Hempstead as additional insured. Food vendors are also responsible for obtaining all necessary permits from the Nassau County Board of Health and if serving beer, the New York State Liquor Authority. Dispensing beer also requires written approval from the Town of Hempstead Commissioner of Parks and Recreation. Please submit the request in writing with this application by Tuesday, September 5th. Because this is a family event, the Town of Hempstead Department of Parks and Recreation reserves the right to choose vendors on subject matter appropriate to the festival theme. A letter from the parks department will notify vendors who have been accepted. Please note that all food vendors must display prices in a clear and prominent location easily viewed by the public. Vendors are not permitted to play music unless given permission by the Festival Coordinator. Failure to obey the directives of the Festival Coordinator and Parks Commissioner will result in expulsion from the park without application refund. Food vendors are required to set up at their assigned location by 4 p.m., Friday, September 22. All other vendors must set up at 9 a.m. on Saturday, September 23. Every vendor must check in at the registration desk on Saturday morning. Vendor applications must be submitted no later than September 15th. Any applications received after deadline will be returned. The Family Festival is a rain or shine event. There are no refunds.
