Holiday Events Are Coming Up! Holiday Craft Bazaar The Bazaar Craft and Art Market is set for noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3 at the Plaza at 140 West Franklin Street. Shop handmade local crafts and creations from 20+ talented local makers and awesome eats and drinks from Yee Haw Doughnuts, Merry Franksters, Thai Box Zing Catering, Napoli Wood-Fired Pizza, Soul Cocina Triangle and Carrboro Coffee Roasters, all while you enjoy the vinyl spin of Selector B Steady. The Bazaar is family-friendly and free! Downtown Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony Usher in the holiday season at the Community Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, in the Memorial Garden of University Baptist Church, 100 S. Columbia St., at the corner of Columbia and Franklin streets. The event is free and open to all! Enjoy caroling with the church choir. Bring your camera – children can meet Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus! Parking is free on Sundays in downtown Chapel Hill. The event is sponsored by the Chapel Hill Downtown Partnership www.downtownchapelhill.com/celebrations Chapel Hill-Carrboro Holiday Parade The Chapel Hill-Carrboro Holiday Parade will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 9, presented by the Jaycees and the Town of Chapel Hill. The parade begins in front of the Post Office on Franklin Street and progresses through Chapel Hill, ending around noon at the Carrboro Town Hall. It is not too late to be part of this year’s parade!
