A TIGER IS BORN

Welcome Hello and welcome to the very first edition of our Tiger Tracks newsletter! Here to keep you fully up-to date on all of Tiger’s exciting developments. We are extremely proud of all the Tiger team’s efforts and achievements over the last six months enabling us to bring an exciting new trailer and body manufacturer to the market. It’s all down to hard work and determination, coupled with a vast amount of industry experience. It’s qualities like these, which has driven us to where we are today, in such a short period of time. In addition to this, the creation of new working partnerships with key suppliers has also been a major part of our ability to get so far, so quickly. Finally, we have been genuinely blown away by the reaction from both existing and new customers. Their desire to work with us and retain business relationships into the future is fantastic. We would like to thank everyone involved with the Tiger story so far and we look forward to an exciting future.

The Factory Our vision for a consolidated modern manufacturing process under one single roof has been realised at our new headquarters based in Winsford, Cheshire. Starting with design, through to chassis fabrication, assembly, body build and final finish. The whole process is carried out under one roof, and within a modern factory. Key features include, automatic chassis beam welding, state of the art spray ovens; coupled with production line assembly methods that accommodate the most demanding and varied selection of product ranges.

The factory operates on a shift system, enabling us to steadily increase production capacity, economically and quickly to suit demand. Our engineering team have the knowledge and experience required to create a large range of products. Customer Feature We are delighted to be supplying Downton with one of the first deliveries of the new Tiger trailers! The Gloucestershire based logistics provider is investing in a total of 60 curtain trailers for use in its network. The high specification trailers have been designed to be used for a range of work, including paper, glass and brewery distribution. This requirement has led to Tiger’s engineering team designing a trailer to meet Downton’s exacting requirements, that will suit its various operations. The 13.7 metre curtainsided clearspan trailers have a number of unique features. This is in addition to Tiger’s EN 12642XL as standard. The trailers include the optional Tiger ‘over chassis beam’ floor design, providing a perfectly flat floor surface. By allowing the floor to sit above the chassis I beam, it improves weather proofing and contributes towards greater health and safety.

Other features include double skinned front bulkhead and a special load resistant system that will suit both brewery and glass restraint. The trailers also have Tiger’s ‘paint free’ option, which features a fully galvanised chassis and body, with pre-impregnated front Tiger airfoil and sturdy rear doors.
