SOLANO COUNTY – Caltrans and the City of Vallejo join forces in a partnership to beautify main entrances and thoroughfares in Vallejo through the “Vallejo Interagency Partnership” (VIP) program. The 3-day major maintenance and paving effort includes Caltrans performing landscape work at the on and off-ramps from Tennessee Street to westbound Interstate-80 and the City of Vallejo paving eastbound and westbound Tennessee Street from Mariposa Street to Admiral Callahan Lane. Project starts Tuesday, July 29 through Thursday, July 31. Crews will work each day at 8 a.m. and conclude work at 3 p.m. All work is weather permitting. Tennessee Street Ramps to and from Westbound I-80 closed/detours: To ensure worker and public safety, the Tennessee Street on and onramps from westbound I-80 will be closed during the work. Tennessee Street will also be closed between Mariposa Street to Admiral Callahan Lane. Detour signs will be posted. Motorists heading onto Tennessee Street from westbound I-80 will be detoured to Springs Road, then to Mariposa Street, then to Tennessee Street. Motorists heading onto eastbound I-80 from eastbound Tennessee St. will be detoured to Humboldt Street, then to Springs Road, then onto westbound I-80.
