TRANSPORT DEPARTMENT NOTICE SPECIAL TRAFFIC AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS FOR NATIONAL DAY CELEBRATION EVENTS 2015 Notice is hereby given that special traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented to facilitate the following celebration events: (a) (b)

Special Public Transport Arrangements (a)

Expo Drive East bus terminus will be suspended from 12.00 midnight to 11.00 am. During the period of suspension, cross-harbour route 961 will terminate at Johnston Road outside Southorn Playground. Citybus routes 25A will terminate at Hennessy Road westbound after Fenwick Street. New World First Bus route H1 will be diverted via Convention Avenue after Fenwick Pier Street; and

(b)

The taxi stand at Expo Drive will be suspended from 5.30 am to 11.00 am.

Suspension of Parking Spaces (a)

The coach metered parking spaces at Expo Drive East will be suspended from 10.00 pm on 30 September 2015 to 11.00 am of the following day; and

(b)

The public bus parking spaces and pick-up / drop-off area at Expo Drive East will be suspended from 12.00 midnight to 11.00 am.

RESTRICTION ON HOTEL AND CARPARK ACCESS (a)

Hotel Access Vehicular access to and from hotels within the affected areas will be banned during the period of road closures. Vehicles bearing hotel logos will be allowed to set down passengers at the following locations before relevant road closures: (i) Chatham Road South/Mody Road; and (ii) Kowloon Park Drive/Peking Road.

(b)

Car Park Access Vehicular access to all car parks within the affected areas will be banned during the period of road closures. Motorists wishing to park their vehicles in these car parks are advised to do so before the road closures and shall prepare to accept that their vehicles cannot leave the car parks until uplifting of the road closures.

(2) KAI TAK CRUISE TERMINAL ROAD CLOSURE The section of Shing Fung Road (about 230 metres) south of its junction with the unnamed road connecting Shing Fung Road and Shing Cheong Road will be closed to all vehicles except authorized vehicles from 5.00 pm to 10.00 pm on 1 October 2015。 II.

REMOVAL OF ILLEGALLY PARKED VEHICLES Motorists are advised that strict enforcements will be taken by the Police, including multiple ticketing and towing of vehicles found illegally parked within the precinct of the special traffic arrangements specified above, without prior notice. ATTENTION AND APPEAL Appropriate traffic signs will be erected to guide motorists. Public transport operators will also display notices to advise passengers of the above temporary arrangements. Actual implementation of and adjustments to road closures, traffic control and public transport diversions will be made by the Police at the time depending on conditions in the areas. In order to ensure adequate supply of on-street parking spaces and to avoid prolonged parking, motorists are advised to pay parking fees for all vehicles parked at on-street metered parking spaces during National Day holidays, except vehicles parked at designated parking spaces which are not charged on Sundays and public holidays. Members of the public who intend to go to the affected areas are advised to use public transport services as far as possible, plan their journey early and allow more traveling time to cater for unexpected delay.
