When you purchase travel tickets with a Bank Windhoek Silver or Gold Visa Debit Card, Bank Windhoek offers you and your loved ones Basic Free Cover with the option to enhance your cover with Additional Travel Insurance Cover. Basic Free Cover Basic Free Cover will provide you with a well selected variety of cover benefits for a period of 90 days. The cover includes, but is not limited to cover for emergency medical expenses and 24hour assistance should you experience illness or accidental injury whilst you are traveling. The cover also includes permanent disability and accidental death cover. Additional Travel Insurance Cover Should you wish to enhance your Basic Free Cover Bank Windhoek offers you Additional Travel Insurance Cover which will provide you with greater financial protection and peace of mind. In the event that anything should happen to you or your loved ones, the unexpected costs will be taken care of (Terms and Conditions apply). The Additional Travel Insurance Cover is available over and above the Basic free cover and is charged at a nominal Insurance premium which is dependent on the duration of your trip. Each ticket holder will need to pay the premium as indicated below.

In order for you to apply for either option of Worlwide Travel Insurance you will need to purchase your travel tickets making use of your Bank Windhoek Silver or Gold Visa Debit Card, and provide proof of the online payment or Point-of-Sale device receipt. How do I apply for Worldwide Travel Insurance? To apply please visit your nearest Bank Windhoek branch and provide the Sales Advisor with the following documentation: • Copy of Passport(s) • Copy of travel ticket(s) • Proof of Payment of your travel ticket(s): Online proof of payment or Point-of-Sale device receipt. Your application will be processed and you will receive your Travel Insurance Policy via the email address you have provided within 24 Hours. Once you receive your Travel Insurance Policy please ensure that you have saved your travel insurance policy number in several ways in which you will be able to access this information in the case of an emergency.
