Abstract This white paper presents the results from tests conducted to understand the performance-enhancing features of VMware® Native Multipathing (NMP) technology when utilized with EMC® Symmetrix® storage. The performance characteristics of VMware Native Multipathing technology with the Round Robin path selection policy are analyzed for various types of workloads on the EMC Symmetrix VMAX™ storage system.
